the first episode for detention deficit didn't work as well as expected. firstly, the shoot was interrupted so we had hardly any time to shoot. we also booked a room to film in but then someone told us we couldn't film in there. i luckily managed to find a room to film in but it didn't meet the criteria that we needed for the script and storyboard. we worked well considering the fallbacks but it wasn't what we expected. the final edit wasn't up to scratch either. the episode was cut too much. we changed the editing technique after episode 1 but that was based on audience response so something good came from it. the episode itself doesn't follow a straight forward storyline but it is a good introduction to the characters.
