today we filmed most of the title sequence and we filmed the missing bits from the first episode that we will then upload at colleridge on wednesday. the footage we got was of the flashback scene where sonny throws a frijj at damien. laurence played the part of damien. i directed him so that when the frijj hits him, it's as if it's a brick. he understood what i meant and acted very well. couldn't have asked for more really. the impact shots we got were great. we looked ver the footage afterwards and it came out really well. hayden changed the lighting on the camera so it didn't look as cheap. it looked quite professional i thought.
during the second lesson hayden pieced together the final storyboard for the title sequence in his book, or at least in his head, we're all clear now what we title sequence will be like and we're all happy with it. we're taking inspiration from the film casino. whip cuts were used in casino to give the film extra energy, we thought that it would work well in the title sequence.
